The role of digital literacy in today’s educational system is a critical one. The term "digital literacy" includes not only the skills necessary to operate a computer, but also the knowledge of how to effectively utilize computers and technology. Digital literacy has led to a more different way of obtaining a education than in the past; because of the involvement of computers and technology in every aspect of our lives. Digital literacy has had a big impact on my educational experience as a student. When I did not understand a certain topic in class, instead of asking for help from my teacher, I simply go to the Internet and do an online search for the topic in question or watch bountiful amounts of instructional videos on YouTube and other sources.
